The Age Of Enlightenment
The Enlightenment, also known as The Age of Reason is a period of time from 1650 - 1800 that spread new ideas all throughout Germany, England, France and other places in Europe. This movement brought about a significant amount of cultural, social, intellectual, and philosophical advances due to its focus on individualism and reason rather than tradition. In this age, views and ideas on religion, man, nature and reason were put into a worldly view that allowed for investigations into philosophy, art, and politics. The Age of Reason opened up the minds of the people like a key opens a door. It was influenced greatly by philosophers such as Locke, Newton, Descartes and Jefferson and its prominent exponents include Kant, Goethe, Voltaire, Rousseau, and Smith.
